Day 6 – ISC 2016 – Fastpitch Softball Summary





Day 6 has highlighted the wear and tear for many of the teams trying to navigate through the losers bracket! There’s been 2 shutouts and 2 mercy rulings, with the closest of the losers being J& B Painting going down 4 – 1.

 

Kyle Linton has managed to get the Toronto Batmen across the line and giving up just the 1 run, despite giving up 9 hits! Fancis Lombardo was the star for the Batmen with 3 RBI’s for the night!

Circle Tap Dukes bounced back with a massive 10-1 win over the North East Drillers. Ryan Sinclair was the shortstop for the Dukes however wasn’t able to register a hit on the night. Manuel Godoy was Circle Taps star with 3 hits for 3 RBI’s. Sebastian Gervasutti came in fresh giving up just 3 hits for 1 run. They’ll have a tough game against the A1 Bombers tomorrow!

The A1 Bombers made short work of the Kingston Axemen today with Jorge Segura and Richard Haldane sharing the hill for the 9-0 win. Kronk registered a hit and was back in the DP spot for the Bombers. A1 will prove to be a tough match up for the Dukes with Deven McCullough heading in fresh.



3 homeruns has seen the BC As dispose of the Kegal Black Knights 6-0. The homeruns went to K.Castillo, P.Sagdal and J.Christiansen and Ramon Jones kept the Knights to just 3 hits with that dropball keeping them pinned down.

The Gators have proved why they’re the number 2 seed with a 3-1 win over the New York Gremlins. The Gremlins drew first blood in the first getting their lead off on before being driven in by Blair Ezikiel. It wasn’t long before Ryan Boland leveled the score with a solo homerun and shortly their after followed up by Brad Rona adding two more. Godoy came into the game giving up no hits or runs however the damage had already been done. Sean Cleary threw the whole game for the Gators, giving up 3 hits for just the 1 run. Gremlins will play the winner of the A1 Bombers or Dukes, who’ll have to play 2 games to survive tomorrow.

Hill United Chiefs have put away Scarborough Force with an 8-2 win. It was the Aussie infielders that did plenty of damage with James Todhunter and Joel Southam both getting multiple hits including homeruns. Nick Shailes was also damaging and Adam Folkard dominate on the hill.
